This piece was partly inspired by the words of Darcey Steinke:
“The crone doesn’t replace the young woman, all our previous ages stay tucked inside of us. We are old women, young mothers, and small girls. The young woman is essentially the same as the old one, the seed buried inside a wrinkled fruit.”
All colors are from natural sources: homegrown plant pigments and hand gathered rock and soil pigments. FSC Certified pine and maple from sustainably managed forests.
Hanging wire mounted on back for hanging. Also can sit upright on a shelf. Signed, dated, titled on back.
