I've finally come to terms with the holidays coming and made up a batch of candles. The general instructions are here on my wedding site as wedding favors since everything I do gets written up somewhere else. I'm not just making holiday gifts people, I'm working. Which is probably why I've been slacking off on making holiday gifts. Hmmmmm
Anyway, to avoid more work, I've been toying with the idea of painting a china cabinet instead. Turquoise. Except our kitchen is already turquoise and this piece in question has been in the family forever and my husband is scared to paint it even though his parents said we can paint it.
Then I remembered that I want to put up insulation and walls in the garage because I freeze my butt off out there. Then I remembered that now is the time to paint the patio because the weather has cooled. Then I remembered how I want to rip up the entire front yard and plant a native plant garden so it is ready for spring. Until...
I realized my son still has towels as curtains in his bedroom. We put those up as a temporary fix back when we moved in. Over a year ago.
I've grown to like the towel curtains actually. They are nice and dark and make the room cozy. But I still think I need to sew him some. And I should probably do that before I rip up the front yard, put up any walls or even paint anything. Sigh, they will get their turn.
It is true what they say, that your house is never done. My house will never be done. But I still like trying. Mostly.
Is your house "done" or are working on it? What is on your to do list?
