Finally we are having a bit of "winter" here with cold and grey rainy days. This means two things. First, I get to wear my beloved coats that rarely get used since moving to LA...
This red one has great fancy details on the cuffs and collar. Found in a thrift store in the midwest when I was in high school. I remember at the time thinking the price was pretty high. It was $7. It fits like a glove.
Then when it is really raining out or if we're going to the park or other "get dirty" places I pull out this navy one. Also thrift store, midwest and many years ago. This one was from a shop that had the "ugly" rack where everything was $1. The best vintage stuff was on the ugly rack. This was years before thrift stores got keen on the whole "retro, vintage" trend and started separating that stuff and charging more for it like they do now. Ah, the good old days.
Second, is that we are finding new was to have fun indoors. Like painting up Valentine hearts...
And painting up our toes. (this was his request)
What do you like to do when it rains?
PS - I've been feeling very "fashion-esque" lately and this is the first in a whole new series of "what I'm wearing" that I'll be sharing here sometimes. Totally frivolous. But fun. Plus, it forces me to change out of my pjs every day.
