I got these yellow slippers for a few bucks in Chinatown a year ago or more. I've never worn them. They are too yellow. And plain. And pretty ugly. I saw them today and decided some vintage buttons might be able to help me love them. This is the result!
I dipped into my vintage button stash. All my vintage buttons are from a huge mason jar full of them that I got from my great grandmother who was a very crafty lady up until a few years back when she lost her eyesight. She blames knitting.
Here they are in their plain jane state. Notice my son's tiny hand gesturing towards them. Does he have a future on the shopping network?
All done! Considering that I'm wearing them today, I'm already wearing them more than I ever have before. I think this project was a success. Here to hoping I sewed the buttons on strong enough that my son can't bite or pull them off. Believe me he will try.
