Yet another lamp that came with the house. This time it was a dirty, dirty, dirty bulb shaped fixture that doesn't come apart so there was no way to actually clean the darn thing well. Spray paint to the rescue again!
I didn't really mind this lamp as it was, but the orange color just wasn't going to work in the room. I worried that spray painting it would ruin it but it was a $3 spray paint can risk I was willing to take.
It still looks a little splotchy in the photo, although it doesn't in person or when the lamp is on. Hmmm, maybe one more coat will do the trick. I think I'll paint that ceiling hook white as well. The white is much, much better with the wall color my son picked out for his room. (Wall color is Light Pistachio by Benjamin Moore in the zero VOC Natura line.)
